Rubber Hose

The main differentiator between pneumatic hose and pneumatic tubing is that hose is reinforced with more layers and features a protective covering. PDI has low, medium and high pressure air hoses with either neoprene, vinyl nitrile or EPDM covering, ranging in temperature grades of -40 to 212°F, diameters of ¼ -1 ½”, and pressure ratings of up to 300 psi.

Plastic Tubing

Pneumatic tubing comes in various types of plastic polymers. Polyethylene, polyurethane, nylon, Teflon® and PVC are all available, and depending on the requirements, one may work better than another. Polyethylene is used more on the low-pressure side, and is chemical resistant as well as economical. Polyurethane is flexible and strong, as well as kink resistant. Teflon® tubing performs very well in robotic applications, and nylon is light, stable and durable. PVC tubing is generally the most flexible and is great for food and beverage as well as medical applications.

PVC Hose

Pneumatic PVC hose features internal PVC tubing that is reinforced with a 2-fiber spiral and PVC cover. Our PVC hose is kink resistant and temperature rated from -10 to 150°F, with an operating pressure of 125-250 psi. Common applications for pneumatic PVC hose are aerospace, marine, mobile machinery, equipment and pharmaceuticals.

Stainless Steel Teflon® Hose

Available in smooth bore and convoluted, Power Drives’ braided stainless steel hoses meet SAE 100R14A and SAE 100R14B requirements and are optimized for maximum flexibility. Convoluted hoses have a tighter bend radius for streamlined routing. Applications include food and beverage, steam, compressor discharge, automotive and air brakes. Available in conductive and non-conductive Teflon®, our stainless steel hose is twice as flexible as standard 100R14B hose, withstands temperatures from -40-500°F and is available in a variety of diameters depending on application.

Air Brake Hose and Tubing

PDI's air brake hose and tubing is all DOT approved. Air brake hose features a synthetic rubber tube and is reinforced with spiral polyester cord. Air brake tubing is lightweight, flexible and resistant to abrasion, oil, salt and grease. With temperature ratings of -65-200°F, air brake hose and tube is designed to stand up to the extreme temperatures and conditions of the road.
