One of our true niches here at Power Drives is manufacturing lines for diesel engines. These include coolant lines, low pressure fuel lines, turbo supply and return lines, and EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) lines. So why are we the expert in producing OEM EGR lines?
Through hard work and technical expertise, we’ve been able to secure projects with some pretty large and influential diesel engine manufacturers. They entrust us to create these lines for their products, which are a part of some of the most popular automobiles on the market.
EGR lines’ jobs are to transfer exhaust gas back into the cylinders, which reduces the amount of harmful gases that get expelled into the atmosphere. This recirculation back into the combustion chamber cools the engine and provides increased mass for compression. The purpose of this process is twofold: to reduce emissions and have the engine consume less fuel.
EGR lines are either tube, flexible metal hose or a combination of both, and can feature a stainless steel overbraid. EGR lines are should last you a very long time. However, if you have a damaged EGR line that needs to be replaced, don’t do it yourself. Make sure you consult the experts.
If you have an OEM project that requires EGR lines, please send us some information so we can determine how we can help you.
